Passionate about the health and wellbeing of your community?
If you are passionate about supporting your local community to improve their health, we encourage you to become a My Weight Matters delivery partner.
As a My Weight Matters delivery partner you will be engaging and supporting people living with overweight or obesity to make positive changes to their health by providing weekly drop-in sessions where participants can come along for weekly support, motivation and weigh in.
We will provide you with all the training and support you need to get started. We will ensure you are equipped with the skills to have motivational conversations and provide support to help clients manage their weight
Free Training Included
You will receive full training in the 12-week My Weight Matters programme, how to facilitate and run a successful drop in, a 2-day Health Coaching course and Mental Health First aid training, all for free!
As a My Weight Matters Delivery partner we ask that you commit to deliver the My Weight Matters drop-in session once a week (same day and time) and offer participants a warm, friendly and supportive environment. At each session you will help the participant to use the scales and briefly look through the weekly programme material with them. We also ask that you show them how to access the online content as well as helping and motivating the client to set weekly goals to manage their own health.
No prior experience, skills or qualifications are required; just an interest in supporting people who want to prioritise their weight, health and wellbeing. Weight is a sensitive issue and many people living with overweight and obesity have experienced stigma. Empathy, a non-judgemental and an open and friendly approach will ensure people have a positive experience when attending our sessions.
