2025-2026 Another record year!

Since launching in 2022, the Essex Wellbeing Service (EWS) has supported more than 160,000 Essex residents. In the year April 2025 to March 26 the service has continued to expand, working with more specialist organisations to help people stay well, live independently, and feel more connected to their communities.

EWS is a free local service that helps people across Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock) look after their wellbeing. It offers support to help people live independently for longer and prevent serious health problems. It also works with Essex businesses through the Essex Working Well programme to support employees’ health and wellbeing.

Key Highlights are:

              · Exceeded its annual NHS Health Checks targets

              · Helped many people stop smoking through partnership work

              · Now provides a personalised, stigma free weight management service

              · Provided tailored lifestyle support to families

              · Supported carers and people to stay independent

              · Took action to reduce loneliness and isolation

              · Reached people who are less likely to use services

              · Increased support to employers

              · Exceeded its social value target by 11.9%
